Spiritual Growth

East Lake Academy offers a Christ-centered spirituality focused on the practice of authentic charity as the essence of Christianity. Children and students are taught to live their faith fully, joyfully and unapologetically and to integrate it into every facet of life. They are taught that the Catholic faith is above all a relationship with  Jesus Christ, after whose example they should model their own lives through the practice of virtue and by witnessing to his message by how they live. This living, active and joy-filled faith is integrated into every facet of school life.

At East Lake Academy, we accept, proclaim and practice, without apology, the Gospel and the full magisterial teaching of the Catholic Church. We also embrace the perennial Catholic belief that parents are the primary educators of their children.  With the support of our parents, we endeavor to educate the whole student in the areas of spiritual, moral, academic and social development. Central to this spirituality is daily instruction in the Catholic faith. Sacramental and spiritual opportunities include all-school mass each week along with monthly class masses, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the opportunity for confession for those old enough to participate in the sacrament.

Along with education, our students are also offered additional opportunities for spiritual growth which include but not limited to;

  • Knights of the Altar (acolyte training)
  • Retreats
  • Formation Dialogue
  • Virtue Campaigns
  • Apostolic Projects

East Lake Academy families attend many parishes across Lake County and beyond and we strongly encourage families to become involved in their parishes as well.
