Mr. Stack brings to East Lake Academy a combined over twenty-five years of teaching experience at the elementary, middle, high school and college levels. Prior to joining East Lake’s faculty in 2006, he taught middle and high school students at Providence Academy, a Catholic K-12 school in Plymouth, Minnesota. He has also taught full-time at Hiram College, in Hiram, Ohio and at Concord University, in Athens, West Virginia. He taught part-time at Northern Illinois University, in DeKalb, Illinois, at the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and at St. Xavier University, in Chicago, Illinois. Through the Regina Coeli Academy, he taught online courses in American Government and World and United States History part-time for six years, from 1999 to 2005. He also taught religious education at St. Mary’s parish in DeKalb for three years and for a year at Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish in Aurora, Ohio. Mr. Stack graduated magna cum laude from Northern Illinois University in 1991 with Bachelor of Science degrees in Political Science and History. Two years later, he earned a Master of Arts degree in Political Science. He has completed advanced graduate studies in Political Science and has had journal articles published in The Review of Politics, The World and I, and The Catholic Social Science Review. Mr. Stack’s sons, Bennet and Alexander both attend East Lake Academy.
