Srta. Moreno has her Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Languages and Education from the University of Caldas in Colombia. She is a native Spanish speaker with over 10 years of experience in the classroom, delivering high-quality programs to students of all ages and backgrounds. She has been living in Chicago for the past 8 years and has been working intensively with children in elementary school, in middle school, and with adults, as a Lead Spanish teacher at Language Stars, a provider of foreign language education. Some of her responsibilities in her most recent job were: training teachers, participating in recruiting process, translating textbooks, curriculum development, lesson planning and ensuring the delivery of high quality classes to her students. She believes in keeping the class light-hearted, fun and active, but disciplined and focused. She loves her Catholic faith, her family, and her career. She is enthusiastic, creative, and she enjoys dancing, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She welcomes challenges and enjoys learning new ways to enhance her teaching. She is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language.
