Mrs. Erica Kopf received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education/Hispanic Studies from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors and received the George E. Melton award in Education, given to one graduating senior each year. Mrs. Kopf was an active member in her university’s Hispanic Studies Honor Society, Education Honor Society, and Kappa Delta Sorority. As a member of Kappa Delta sorority, Mrs. Kopf designed and led learning opportunities for local girl scouts to receive new badges. As an education major, Mrs. Kopf presented a seminar on the use of educational technology to improve the language arts skills of bilingual students. Her previous teaching experiences include teaching both bilingual and monolingual kindergarten, along with second grade general education. She has also substitute taught in many k-8th classrooms. Mrs. Kopf has designed curriculum and differentiated learning activities (in English and Spanish) to meet the many unique learning styles of her students. Having received a Catholic Education from St. Patricia elementary and Queen of Peace High School, Mrs. Kopf is excited to continue to share her love of God with her students. Mrs. Kopf recently moved to Gurnee with her husband, Jordan, and two dogs, Kona and Cooper.
