Every Vote Counts!

Middle school is a time for continued growth and new opportunities. One of the best ways for students to get involved and grow their leadership skills is by running for student council. Our student council is a group of elected students who represent their fellow classmates and help organize and oversee school events and projects.

By making the most out of this unique opportunity, our students can build their leadership skills, practice time management, and build confidence in communication and public speaking, all invaluable in and out of school. It’s hands on experience to manage events and projects within a team setting, with committed and dedicated leaders. Our elected officials were up for the challenge!

We could feel the excitement palpitate in our middle school! Our middle school candidates used effective ways to campaign, create posters, prepare speeches, and were ready to bring fresh ideas to the table. Our 5th through 8th graders had to make a tough decision when it came to voting amongst the highly qualified candidates. It was a great moment of comradery and support amongst peers. We are proud of all the candidates who ran for the East Lake Academy Student Council!
