East Lake Academy identifies that a child’s parents are his/her primary educators and formators. In keeping with this fact, every effort is made to include parents in their child’s formal education by way of communicating ongoing Parent Association service opportunities. At East Lake Academy every parent is in the Parent Association.
The primary role of the East Lake Academy Parent Association is to assist and support the school in organizing, coordinating, and implementing parent engagement school activities, projects, events, and fund-raising projects.
The secondary role of the East Lake Academy Parent Association is to bring school families closer together in a Catholic environment through social, educational, and spiritual events. The East Lake Academy Parent Association aims to foster a spirit of working out of service to God and neighbor, and to bolster the strength of the family unit as a whole.
We have many volunteer opportunities for our parents for better involvement in their child’s school lives. These volunteer positions range in time commitment and varying talents. There is something for everyone. Many positions give parents the opportunity to be part of their students’ school lives. It is also a great way to get to know other parents of East Lake children and become a closer member of the East Lake family.
