Mrs. Julia Barnes graduated magna cum laude with an Associate of Arts degree from Wilbur Wright College where she was the Vice President of Membership for Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society of the 2-year College and the President of the Future Teachers Organization. Upon graduating, she then transferred to Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois, to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Her previous teaching experience includes early childhood special education, fifth grade, and transitional kindergarten. Mrs. Barnes was born and raised in Chicago. She attended Catholic schools from kindergarten through high school and is very excited to give back to, and be a part of, the Catholic education system that was so important in shaping her character and her Catholic Faith. Mrs. Barnes lives in Grayslake, Illinois with her husband and their 8 year old son. They attend St. Gilbert’s Parish.
