Mrs. Alane Malicay

Director of Admissions

Mrs. Malicay was born and raised in Chicago. She joined the East Lake Academy family, when she and her husband enrolled their son in the fall of 2018; they also have a daughter enrolled at East Lake and a baby boy who will be a Seraphim in a few years time. She graduated with a B.S. in Marketing from DePaul University. She has over 20 years of experience in ministry. As the Program and Event Coordinator of the Young Adult Ministry Office for the Archdiocese of Chicago, she spearheaded the annual four-week Theology on Tap Summer Speaker Series and was part of the lead team that led 100+ pilgrims to the 2016 World Youth Day Pilgrimage to Poland. Mrs. Malicay then felt a deep calling to serve women and children, and she had the privilege of working for Aid for Women, as the Pregnancy Center Manager, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help women who are facing unexpected and difficult pregnancies. God entrusted her to oversee five pregnancy centers and to lead 400+ one-on-one mentor sessions over a span of three years. God continues to fulfill her desire to serve families. She believes God’s most beautiful work is manifested in our children; and how we educate our children is vital in helping build a culture of life. Mrs. Malicay is confident East Lake Academy paves the way to build and establish strong, Catholic leaders.
